Welcome to the information platform of the Diversity Management Project DiP. Within 2 years project participants work on management tools in HRM and diversity management for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).hndeThe abbreviation DiP stands for "Diversity Management in Personel Development". The project is co-funded by the European Social Fund and the City of Berlin administrative agency Senate Department for Integration, Labour and Social Services. DiP has started in January 2010 and is designed to last until December 2011. Among the broad range of the term Diversity in HRM, the main focus of DiP is on three issues: migrants, gender and ageing employees.
As a service provider for SMEs in Berlin, RKW Berlin GmbH is the coordinating institution in the project. However, there are many partners and stakeholders involved in DiP, as shown at the pages on participating enterprises from the region of Berlin and partnering consultants of DiP.
What are the main activities and aims of the project? DiP bunches different modules into a 2-year project: education and training, strategic consultancy by external HR experts and networking opportunities among SMEs in Berlin. Partners from academic HR research accompany the development process of SMEs and add scientific input. The aim of DiP is to develop simple-to-handle and effective HR tools for SMEs with different needs in diversity.
